GARMENT CARE TIPS
Proper garment care does not actually take more time or effort. In fact, it will help save you time and money. Each type of fabric requires a different type of maintenance. We've put together a few guidelines to help you care for your new purchase. Below are general recommendations on how to take care of your garments.
Wash mindfully
Wash colors separately
Use a laundry bag
Wash at low temperatures
Iron at low temperatures and on the reverse side
Skip the dryer
Do not bleach
Acetate Dry clean, gentle machine wash or hand wash separately in cool water. Do not twist, wring or tumble dry. Use warm iron on the reverse side. |
Chiffon / Georgette Gentle hand wash with cool water. Air dry. Avoid direct sunlight. |
Cotton Dry clean or machine wash in cool water. Line or tumble dry. Use warm iron on the reverse side. |
Jacquards / Laces Dry clean only. Use low heat iron on the reverse side with a press cloth. |
Linen Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cool water. Do not wring. Tumble dry on a cool setting or dry in shade. Use warm iron. |
Nylon / Polyester Dry clean or machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry on low temperature. Use low heat iron. |
Rayon / Viscose Dry clean, machine wash or hand wash in cool water. Do not twist or wring. Use warm iron on the reverse side. |
Silk / Satin Dry clean only. Do not tumble dry. Drip dry or dry on a flat surface. Use warm iron on the reverse side with a press cloth. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not use perfume directly on the garment. |
Tencel / Lyocell Dry clean or machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry on low temperature. Use low heat iron. |
Triacetate Dry clean, machine wash or hand wash in cool water. Do not twist or wring. Use warm iron on the reverse side. |
Velvet Dry clean only. Do not spot clean. Use low heat iron on the reverse side. |
Wool / Merino / Cashmere Hand wash in cold water. Air dry in shade on a flat surface. Use low heat iron on the reverse side with a press cloth. |
